“I feel very lucky that I found this delightful hotel as a late booking. The location is simply divine. It's like being in a drem movie of the Italian mediterranean experience. To swim in the clear blue waters by slipping off the platform, with the iconic castle vies above, is just wonderful. The hotel is very charming, slightly old style Italian in presentation. Guests should be aware that there are stairs down to the reception, but if you leave your bags at the top someone will fetch them for you. My room was simple,, but with a gorgeous full length view over the terrace and water to the castle. On arrival I was told at reception that the restaurant was very good. And it was! I was delighted with my meal both nights. My favourite was the lobster linguine, basically a good half a lobster freshly cooked, with fresh linguine and tomatoes. Delicious. The second night I had the famed Ischian Rabbit stew, also breautifully cooked I just wasn't expecting basically two meals! Come hungry if you choose this dish. Breakfast is generous, the best bread I found in Italy, cheese, salami, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, eggs and cakes. The beach club is simple, snacks til 4pm and a small selection of cocktails. The food is beautifully tasty and the drinks well made. . I had the classic bruschetta and I recommend it. What I appreciated was on the final day to be able to use the beach club after check out and take a shower by the pool. Not all hotels on the island allow this so it was definitely a bonus. I really enjoyed my time and look forward to returning to this gem of a place ”

“The hotel itself is beautiful and the overall facilities, particularly the pools, were fantastic. The absolute highlight was the breakfast — genuinely one of the most fabulous hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had, with an incredible selection. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointing aspects. Basic amenities such as shampoo and conditioner were not provided in the room, which we found surprising for a hotel of this standard. Our room was also quite a long walk from reception, involving numerous stairs, which became inconvenient going back and forth. We also wish we had known in advance that swimming caps were required to use certain pools, as this wasn’t something we were prepared for. Finally, while some staff were pleasant, we didn’t always find the service particularly friendly or accommodating, and communication could sometimes be difficult. Overall, a beautiful property with fantastic facilities and an outstanding breakfast, but the guest experience and some of the smaller details could definitely be improved.”
