“I had high expectations for Castel Monastero given its reputation and the very premium price tag, but unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing, especially during the colder months. The room itself was one of the few positive points: spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and quiet. No complaints there. Breakfast was underwhelming. The buffet is basic, and if you want anything beyond lukewarm scrambled eggs (the only egg option included), you have to pay extra for an omelette or any other egg preparation. For a 5-star luxury property, this feels stingy and out of place. The gym is reasonably equipped on paper, but completely unusable in winter. It is an open-space area with no proper heating or air-conditioning system. They placed two gas heaters, but both were empty. After complaining, staff brought one functioning heater, but with several plastic windows broken and wide open, the cold wind came straight in and the room never warmed up. Working out in near-freezing temperatures is simply not acceptable at this price level. Overall, the hotel charges rates that belong to the absolute top tier of luxury hospitality, yet many details feel neglected, particularly during the colder season. I strongly suggest avoiding Castel Monastero from late autumn through early spring unless you enjoy paying a fortune for a half-functional experience.”

“Podera Casato is a lovely property. The views are right out of a fairytale. Dinner on the patio has to be experienced. Dinner and service was excellent and the prices reasonable. Breakfast had nice options, but my only criticism is the buffet would frequently run out of items as well as coffee. For a property of this quality breakfast should be better stocked. Also charging for a cappuccino is a little greedy. The woman who checks you in, Zane, is wonderful. She gives you a tour of the property and does everything she can to ensure you have a great stay. She is wonderful and made our stay even more special.”

“숙소 뷰, 서비스, 실내외 수영장, 레스토랑 모두 최고였어요. 정말 친절한 직원과 완벽한 하우스키핑, 수영장 모두 좋았지만 가장 좋았던건 레스토랑이었습니다. 조식부터 석식까지 완벽했어요. 특히 와인리스트와 소믈리에가 훌륭해서 기억에 남네요. 토스카나 지역을 여행하면 꼭 방문하는걸 추천합니다.”

“Endroit superbe. Perdu au milieu de la campagne toscane, ensemble de bâtiments remarquablement restaurés au calme au milieu des vignes et des oliviers avec 2 belles piscines et 2 courts de tennis. Très beau parc et jardins et agréable terrasse du restaurant pour les petits déjeuners ou les diners. Une suite grandiose où nous étions au large.... Déconnexion assurée !”
