“We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Fosshotel Westfjords while exploring the area. It’s located right in front of the ocean with a great view of the sunrise/sunset. We found the staff to be very courteous and accommodating. We also had a dinner at the hotel restaurant. Although we were a little apprehensive about the restaurant due to its low customer rating, their foods were excellent, better than many other higher rated restaurants we had tried in Iceland. I am puzzled by their low score. The waiter who served us (unfortunately we didn’t get his name but he was the only waiter on September 10th) was also very efficient and knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend this place if you plan to visit the pristine Westfjords region ”

“The whole place was awesome. Very clean & modern equipped. Love the room, however it was a bit quite far towards the end at west side. Morning view is beautiful. On our way to there, we saw northern lights but there is cloud coverage too.”

“I heard this cottage’s location is really good (from my friend who travelled Iceland more than ten times. The owner requested the linen cover etc. I already knew about that. so it was not a problem. The day I wanted to stay at, there was no room left except the big room which is for 10 people maybe. I made a reservation anyway, and I really liked it. at first, I was worried a lot because there were a lot of bad reviews. but the cottage itself was good. I don’t know about the winter time. It would be cold staying there. But i stayed there in July. was a good time.”
