“Great staff, only 1 minute from the prom.bars restaurants transport close by. Looks a bit rough at first site but rooms big and clean, staff fantastic and food very nice ”

“Found this hotel available online for bank holiday weekend. Price was very good for time of year compared to other hotels in area. Booked two doubles as travelled with older teens. Was allocated 2 rooms together (this was requested via email) on lower level floor (50 & 51) Both rooms were clean and spacious with a large bay window, two chairs and table located at the front of the hotel. Would have been nice to have had voile at windows as you could see in and so had to keep curtains closed in day. Bathroom extraction fan didn’t work so wonder if that’s what caused the mould stains in the grout? The hotels communal areas such as lounge, bar and restaurant was beautifully decorated. The bedrooms we were in had been painted, bathroom was old fashioned but clean. Carpets clean but I would say could do with replacing along with modernising bathroom to keep things in keeping with general feel for rest of hotel. Bed was ok, spring mattress of reasonable quality, pillows comfortable and crisp clean bedding and towels. I feel this could be lovely hotel if rooms were redecorated. I think some have been done according to website so perhaps it’s a work in progress. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly too. Would return again for a couple of nights if the price was right. Didn’t sample food as room only, visited the bar. This hotel could be a real gem with the location and views. ”

“The Marine Hotel isn't at all fancy, but it was absolustely fine for my purposes, and the location is very good - right near the promenade. The staff were very nice.”

“This was our 2nd time at the hotel and the hotel on this occasion was packed to the rafters! As we had our dog with us we didn't eat In the main dining room but in the area where dogs could be with us. We ate at the hotel on 2 occasions and in our opinion the food was overcooked both times. The 2nd time my husband sent back his fish and chips due to the batter being exceptionally dark brown and not light as you would expect. The staff were very patient and brought him another fish however it was the same. My husband sent this back and didn't reorder. A lovely friendly hotel , with polite and helpful staff just on this occasion the food let it down. ”

“The Grand was a good pick, great location & we had a nice big room & bathroom with a really powerful hot shower - no matter the time of day; but we did have to pay extra for a Sea View Room which my booking stated it was, but at the hotel it differed, it did make all the difference to our stay. We overlooked the pier with fairground rides so was a little worried about that waking us early - but it didn’t start until @mid day & we can’t say it was loud. The evening meal was ok - good value but a bit bland ( but the clientele were a bit older so possibly like plainer food. The breakfast was spot on - set you up for the day & we sat at the window overlooking the sea it was fab. Entertainment on the 2 nights consecutively which we were not expecting was good. The Great Orme is behind the hotel & we had a tremendous walk for most of the afternoon on it. ”

“We were tripping around Anglesey and stopped off at Llandudno on our way home. The weather was fantastic so we had a look at what was available and this hotel came up. Great location and looks as though it has had some modernisation as the restaurant area and rooms looked great. We stayed for dinner which was great and breakfast in the morning. Overall really nice hotel and great location (literally 5 min still to the pier) would recommend and would definitely stay there again!”
