“We had very high expectations that were not quite fulfilled.We saw the host only very briefly and received from a staff member only some suggestions for dinner. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean but lacked the basics like glasses and there was no soap for the shower - a problem if you are travelling light. It would have been lovely to have a little kettle or coffee machine in the room. We tried to get a coffee on our return from dinner and in the darkness another guest showed us a coffee machine in the breakfast room. It didn’t work and we were unsure whether it was for guests anyway The swimming pool doesn’t open until June 1st which wasn’t clear when we booked and there was heavy machinery around it as the owners have built a large salle de fêtes . Breakfast was very good, but again no explanations and nobody around -we found a table and helped ourselves surrounded by tables that hadn’t been cleared .It’s a shame as it a lovely quiet property. Maybe we caught them in a bad day.”
