“Our stay at Hotel Boissiere was good overall. The hotel is small but clean, and the staff were really nice. They let us check in early, which was convenient, and the room service was excellent. The breakfast wasn't the best but it was okay. However, there are a few things to note about the location. It's quite far from the city center, and the transportation connections aren't the best. Also, the area can get noisy at night with people shouting and causing disturbances. These issues aren't the hotel's fault, but it's something to consider if you're relying on taxis or public transport. If you have a car, then this might not be a problem for you. Now, onto what went wrong. When we checked in early, a staff member offered us the buffet breakfast, which we initially considered but decided to skip in favor of a local cafe. We left our luggage at the hotel and went to Columbus cafe, as recommended by the staff member. On the day of checkout, another staff member informed us of an outstanding balance of 24EUR for breakfast. This was concerning as our booking clearly stated that breakfast was included. I offered to show my booking confirmation, but the staff member declined, assuring us that everything was fine. However, about 3-4 hours after checkout, there were three attempts to charge my card for the 24EUR. My bank declined these charges, and when I called to inquire, I was told that I hadn't paid for breakfast on the day of check-in. This was frustrating because we had declined the breakfast offer. What pissed me off the most was that instead of addressing this issue face-to-face while we were still at the hotel, they attempted to charge my card behind my back like little thieves. So, if you decide to stay here, be cautious with the billing. Make sure you have proof of what's included in your booking to avoid any misunderstandings or pay with cash.”
