“We have been coming to thé Abreuvoir for many years - its location on the main road south makes it the ideal spot for an overnight stay and once you had stayed there , the excellent food made it a stay to look forward to to and part of the pleasure of a trip to France.
The new owners have retained a lot of its charm but modernised the accommodation and added to the facilities and while I viewed the single sheet print out menu with a sense of dread and disliked being asked to say what I was going to eat long before I sat down, the food was fresh and well cooked and I liked to hear that the new owners had hired a recent graduate from the local catering college and given her the run of the kitchen.
In short a different Abreuvoir but still an excellent stop off point from the hot and noisy motorway, a cool off in the pool and a sit in the gardens and new owners keen to do their best to look after you….. what’s not to like and we will be stopping off there on our journey home.”
