“My paid and confirmed booking cannot be located at this hotel when I checked in. The receptionist said they dont deal with Agoda. I am not sure what is happening. As I can't find another room in any hotel in Calais (through any hotel app and my phone connection was poor) and it was already late afternoon, I jumped on a train to Amiens to see if there would be any room available. AGODA had already charged me for the room. I now needed to pay extra for train ticket to Amiens (as I already got train ticket to Amiens the next day). I also need to pay extra for renting a room in Amiens. It was completely stressful and hectic for holiday. I have already reported this to Agoda and demand for compensation. This experience will make me think twice to use Agoda again. Because the reliability of having a hotel room after travelling for the whole day is very important. This hotel receptionist is not friendly and not helpful. When asked about having a wifi connection, she just ignored me. This is not good to people who are in need even though she thought I am not their customer.”

“We arranged with the staff member the evening before to have breakfast at 7:00 AM. When we arrived at 7:00 AM, there was no one there and nothing had been prepared. We waited until 7:30 AM, but no one appeared. To catch the ferry to England, we unfortunately had to leave without breakfast, even though we had paid for it. Very annoying!”
