“On the morning of 7 March, we went to the Gulf Air office to clarify our flight after it was cancelled and rebooked to 8 March. Strong feeling from. Me that flight on 8March will be cancelled too. After speaking with the airline staff, we returned to the hotel around 11:45 AM (Cairo time) and informed the staff member, Khaled, that we needed to cancel our booking for 7–8 March because we were rushing to the airport to try to get a flight departing on 7 March. Khaled told us it was okay. We immediately went up to our room, quickly packed our belongings, and left right away. In fact, I even accidentally left my white dress in the wardrobe because we were in such a hurry. Unfortunately, the cancellation was not processed and we were still charged for the night. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or it was forgotten, but we were disappointed as we had informed the staff clearly before leaving. That said, Khaled was helpful and kind enough to assist us in booking Uber rides from the hotel to the Gulf Air office and later to the airport using my mobile phone, which we appreciated.
