“El lugar está hermoso, pudiera tener un poco más de atención el aire acondicionado en la habitación. Pero la comida estuvo muy buena ! ”

“By far the worst resort I have stayed at in the DR. Cockroaches in the buffet area, poorly prepared food. Limited variety of drinks and cocktails. Room air conditioning set to a high temperature that cannot be adjusted—so you are guaranteed to be hot. No A/C in the buffet. Wi-Fi only in the lobby area. The power went out several times. In short, a resort that cuts costs to the absolute minimum at the expense of guest comfort.”

“Lovely pool area, however the pool temperature was way too cold. The sauna and steam room were very dated. Small gym but pretty well equipped. Beach was kept clean but not the nicest in the area. Dinner restaurant very disappointing. Expensive and not gourmet food as advertised. ”

“Given that my one night was priced at ***, I rate this a lot differently than the typical hotel. No major problems, but many imperfections ... which is pretty good for that price. The bar upstairs is moderately loud. My room didn't look like the posted photos - no natural light and peeling wallpaper. Hot water fluctuated - I had to turn the shower down below half pressure to lessen this. Inconveniently placed electrical outlets. No toilet paper allowed in the toilet. TV received no channels. Door was tricky to secure. But I slept well enough and the room was clean. The included breakfast was good. Staff let me check in an hour early and accommodated my poor Spanish. Great location in the old town, a block from Umbrella Street.”

“This resort is amazing with some small negative aspects. The food is 10/10, amazing, clean and so many options. The place is very pretty. The coffee shop is so aesthetically pleasing and instagramable. Love the restaurants as well. The drinks are awesome as well. The maintenance staff need to knock the door before entering, I did not appreciate this. Make sure to bring toothpaste because they will not provide, this really upset me, such a simple service and they did not accommodate. The staff is ok, some are very amicable others is like whatever. ”

“We spent 14 days at Viva Heavens in December 2025. We celebrated the Christmas Day and the New Year Day there. We love the experience. Good food, polite staff, games and entertainment, tours - everything was great. Highly recommended!”
