“The rooms were clean and modern, and the building was in a great central location where you can easily walk around the old town. The views from the top floor room are amazing. Check in and check out were very easy. Great Stay!! ”

“The hotel is very close to the Bad Wimpfen gates under the Red Tower. Easy to walk around the town to see the sites, eat and drink. Cobblestones though so no heels in sight. Parking is readily available at the station which is less than 100 metres away. Parking for 24 hours costs €2 and the station is very safe and not very busy. You can drive to the hotel to drop off luggage. Staff spoke English well. Breakfast was included and was good. The hotel offers afternoon tea with lavish cakes and wine and beer; not free. There is an honour system to buy local beers and wine. Our room had a nice courtyard view and great windows for fresh air, no issues with insects at all. Annoyingly people smoke just outside the dining room door so we had to close the windows periodically. The hotel is definitely old with vintage styling. The corridors are dark and the steps to the second level were very steep. My husband is 6ft and he just fitted under the beam to the bathroom. Still, the room certainly fitted the local environment. My issues were firstly that the pillows are super old and that the linen is daggy. Secondly, reception opens at check in which is 3pm so don’t plan on leaving your bags there any earlier. Check out is by 10am so a one night stay doesn’t look great value however there were lots a cyclists doing just that and there seemed to be safe places to leave bikes. ”
