“Those people never heard of politeness….typical rude Cypriot people, omg never ever am I going back there ”

“The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The furniture was from the late 60s. The few electrical outlets only took British 3-pin plugs. The bathroom was also clean, but only had a bathtub, not a shower (I hate those tubs... dangerously slippery when just showering. Who takes a full bath in a hotel tub anyway?). The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Room service (cleaning) was average. It wasn't dirty, but the toilet paper was only refilled when it was almost finished. Supplemental coffee and bottled water were only occasionally refilled. One day, the "clean the room" sign I hung on the doorknob was even ignored and no cleaning was done that day. If I made the bed myself (which happened 2-3 times), no one would touch it and fix it. The breakfast buffet was the same EVERY DAY. Very British (ham, eggs, sausages...). The cheapest cold cuts and sliced cheese you can find in Cyprus. Bread, rolls, small croissants, toast was always fresh and plentiful, fresh fruit (one week only melon every morning), oats, cornflakes (big plus - both were at least not sweetened!). Coffee was not self-service. It was served on request. But it was a pretty good coffee, and no one complained when I ordered a 2nd or 3rd (the management had decided not to let guests fiddle with the expensive coffee machine... fair enough). Overall - a relatively cheap place to stay for a few days (considering other options in Cyprus). Consider it overpriced compared to Mallorca, Spain, for example.”

“This hotel was just satisfactory with regard to price. It is an old hotel and comfortable and it has some elegant and attractive areas for guests to relax in. We would like to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room as there were no coffee shops around - although there a drink machines in the foyer. The buffet breakfast had a sameness about it that gave some choices but after 8 days were were glad to be moving on. The hotel's position in the historical part of Nicosia was excellent and ensured our closeness to many historical sites, cross border shopping and access to the many mini marts around the district.”

“Well done to the Classic Hotel ..very welcoming and helpful by all staff . Room etc good value but if we stay again which we most probably will we would ask to be in a room where there is a very deep step to get into the Shower cubicle ( We are oldies) but in my opinion it is dangerous. I am sure the hotel would have swapped our room we didn't ask as only staying the one night. We ate in the Blue Bar and again were looked after well . Drinks are rather overpriced even by hotel rates. Adequate breakfast and car park at subsidised cost within 3-4 mins away . Thank you to all concerned ”
