“Birds, red eye frogs on the property! Super clean! Coffee and tea whole day. Drinkable(bottled) water. Easy access from nearby town. In the middle of jungle.”

“I had such an amazing and relaxing experience at Chilamate Rainforest Eco-retreat. The venue is phenomenal and fosters a connection to nature and the rainforest. There are multiple covered paths which are great if it is raining and allow to peak in the trees and surroundings. I spotted chacalaca, iguanas, monkeys, sloths and numerous ants hard at work carrying leaves. The room was spacious and clean and felt exotic. There is no AC which supports the retreat's efforts in energy conservation and this was not a problem to me. The fans were adequate to keep me cool at night. Everything was clean. Everyone I talked with from the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They can help with organizing activities in the area with local businesses and I highly recommend working with a guide to learn as much as possible about the forest. I did appreciate the food (bought the dinner, breakfast is included) which is served buffet style. The food is locally sourced and supports the regional economy. Coffee is available at anytime of the day. The Lodge supports nature conservation, community development and education projects. I am happy to have encouraged them by staying there and has a great time.”
