“We stayed six nights at Shangri-La Lhasa after leaving our original hotel, and the move was a lifesaver. At the first hotel, despite booking a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, both the room and corridor smelled strongly of cigarettes. Staff were unable to enforce the policy or provide a solution. With my severe sensitivity to smoke, even brief exposure made me unwell. For travellers with asthma, allergies, children, or smoke sensitivity, this is an important consideration when choosing accommodation in Lhasa. Switching to an international hotel with consistently enforced standards brought immediate relief and peace of mind. Shangri-La Lhasa was clean, comfortable, and well located, with Norbulingka, the Potala Palace, and the Tibet Museum nearby, and Jokhang Temple just a short taxi ride away. The oxygen lounge was invaluable after long days at altitude, and the peaceful courtyard offered a safe space for children to walk and play within the hotel grounds. Breakfast and service were consistently excellent. Jenny and the restaurant team were especially attentive in helping us find suitable food for our child, which can be challenging at altitude. Overall, we were extremely glad we made the switch. Shangri-La Lhasa provided the comfort, reliability, attentive service, and convenient location we needed throughout our stay.”

“The hotel itself is close to the tourist spot however it’s standard seems not like other Ator Hotel The staff are not helpful for checking in and didn’t have the wish for serving us The room is clean while the oxygen producing machine seems always running out of order The experience is satisfactory overall”

“ホテルの案内図を見てポタラ宮に近いと思い宿泊予約をしましたが、地図とは違ってました。残念でした。スタッフの中にはとても親切な方がいて心が温かくなりました。”
