“overall the apartment were of a high standard. No balcony furniture but that was ok as we didn't originally book a balcony. The hallway steps are very steep but again my fault as I didn't do my research as this was a same day booking. The main issue i had was an overwhelming smell of sewage/drains mainly in the corridor but seeping into the room. It was so bad we hardly slept and felt sick so we slept with the balcony door open. I contacted the owner Matthias next morning who had admitted he knew there was an issue since the ventilation system was fitted the previous week and the engineer was coming out 3 days later to fix it. Until today 5 days later the amount was pending in the bank although he did ask if we would be returning. As we live in another country this is not something we are planning. Such a shame because the apartment was lovely but to know about an issue I feel money was taken under false pretences as the whole point was to have a good night's sleep. Very disappointing as had we had such high hopes with other reviews. If the issues are fixed I'm sure o it would be ok to stay. That's the issue with not being a manned hotel and arriving fairly late in the day. ”
