They went above and beyond to give me a suitable room on my return visit, which was kind of them. My son and I dined at the restaurant and had a fantastic meal. Highly recommend!”

“Recently spent three nights at this motel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable although it would be wise to keep the windows closed at night-time as some of the rooms face out to the New England Highway. Management and staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to the town centre and all attractions.”

“Location is perfect with it being on the northern end of town, but easy walking distance of the main street with the places to see in it. Room was nice and clean, staff in the Tavern were friendly and helpful. Check-in is actually done in the bottleshop. Read reviews complaining about the smell of cigarettes from the Tavern's smoking area, but honestly you are far enough away not to smell it......unless you have the nose of a bloodhound! Our only complaint is that it advertises free breakfast, and being a Tavern we just assummed it would be a buffett/hot breakfast in the restaurant, but it was just actually bread/spreads/cereals in the room. This was a bit disappointing as on a cold winters morning a nice hot meal would certainly be a better option. ”

“Stayed here passing through Tenterfield on route to Queensland. Happily stay here again. Fitted the trimmings and expectations of a motel, but with a few extras in the room: incl. sofa, Functioning SmartTV, and shaving cream dispenser in the bathroom. 5min easy walk to shops and food.”

“Love the room, building, staff and food. The sound proof installation over the original windows was great too. Quality toiletries, just the shower was disappointing. The hot water started to run out, I did have to wash my hair but was not in there too long and hubby had to wait a while before it was hot again. ”
