“I was so impressed with my stay at this beautiful resort, I extended my stay and didn't want to leave. The staff were so helpful.The facilities were beautiful. The views and serenity unsurpassed. I had a budget priced eco room without toilet facilities but it was adequate because I don't mind - it was a lot cheaper to stay this way. The room was on the clifftop, looking directly over the beach below - it was an amazing location. And it's just the little things that matter.For instance, there is a yoga mat, there is a quite a large outdoor lounge to sit on on the room's verandah, in the luxe shared bathrooms , there are hair straighteners. On both nights , I missed seeing the penguins - so I will have to return again to see the penguins come up to their burrows. The receiptionist was so helpful and gave me a special red torch to use to view them with. ”

“Ok place to stay. I had a stairwell view and constant sound of industrial fans going on an of on in my room. Old building but has been refurbished with old looking furniture. Had a comfortable clean bed. Glad it was only for one night. ”

“The location was convenient for access to the Spirit of Tasmania terminal and the apartment was clean, with reliable hot water and well-maintained bathrooms contributing to a pleasant stay. Housekeeping was efficient and parking facilities were on-site. However, staff service was average, overall, the experience offered decent value for price.”

“The exterior and interior premises of the Devonport Novatel are new and extremely masculine and angular. The interior is very dark. It might be suitable for a wake. Everything is black. It has no character, no invitingness in its furnishings. That said the staff are the opposite: helpful, cheery and pleasant. The valet parking vs a 100 metre park away walk with luggage makes life unnessarily difficult. While huge areas on the water front side are given over to green, the valet parking area on the main entrance is a shoe box size making for unnessarily stressful time limits and squeez. So all in all, whilst the staff were terrific, I found the internal ambience sombre and male conference dictated. Arrival and departure by car is difficult. Not a place for the traveler, other than it is close to the interstate ferry terminal. And that's it's pull factor. But its design is strictly from a masculine conference orientation and pitch. A pity. If could have been so much better and so very different given it's water harbour front location. ”
