“We booked Melia Durres through Agoda, which advertised the stay as “all inclusive”—but the details weren’t clear. After contacting the hotel, we learned that only breakfast was included, and full all-inclusive access requires a minimum 5-night stay. It would’ve been helpful if that was clarified upfront. The hotel itself is beautiful and ideal for a staycation. It’s quite isolated—perfect for relaxing, but not great if you’re looking for nightlife or restaurants outside the resort. It’s around 45 minutes from the airport. The highlight is the massive pool—reportedly the biggest in the Balkans! There’s a buffet restaurant and two à la carte options, plus plenty of lounging spots by the pool and beach. We did have issues with the AC on our first night—it stopped working and only goes as low as 21°C, which wasn’t cool enough for a comfortable sleep. On the plus side, the hotel has a handy app to view menus, make restaurant bookings, and check out other amenities.”
