I am surprised how Agoda is calling it a Hotel when they themselves are homestay. The owners behave like that. They have strict rules-and don’t allow you to eat in any rooms and there so there is no room service at all. Even for tea you have to go upstairs to take the tea and breakfast. For the kind of charges there is hardly at par quality services. They only have chargeable water bottles and not a single bottle is available in rooms. No kettle nothing and strict rules for eating. No for Non vegetarians. All in all we felt like homestay rules and regulations. Owners behave was very good and they did guide about city and shopping etc. Overall below average experience.

Stay was pretty good.. rooms were spacious and is near to many places and is run by a lovey family. That said they can improve on few things 1. Restaurant at the stay is not fully functional and there are very few options for good quality restaurant near by outside this stay and swiggy zomato is not allowed inside. After a long flight when u checkin that is not what u want to hear 2. Restaurant food is good since it homely meals but the rate is little on the higher side like a small phulka cost Rs .35 or mix veg curry for 1 cost Rs.260 3.restaurant bills had to be paid in cash which was said to us on the last day nyt.. we had to go out to find an atm and get cash.

The Thikana Heritage is an authentic experience in both decoration and hospitality. The owners, ***, go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The food is delicious and specially crafted to meet the spice tolerance levels of each guest. The rooms are not only comfortable and beautiful, but the owners took over 2 years meticulously restoring the 300 plus year old haveli whilst maintaining rigid protocols which enable the hotel to maintain its certified "Historical Building" status. The haveli is only one of two in the old "blue" city wich has maintained this status. Since it is owner operator run, you will get engaging conversation by the owners who speak excellent English and are exceptional at understanding the nuances of the English language. If one wants to truly experience old India and Rajasthan arcihitecture at a reasonable price point....this is your destination. If you want to feel pampered...go outside the environs of the old city to the Disneyesque overpriced Umaid Bahwan for $400 night minimum and try to impress others with the size of your wallet as opposed to the size of your endeavor to truly experience India. We highly recommend your stay at the Thikana Heritage, in the heart of the old blue city.

Cant approach by car. Autorickshaws take you for a ride. The narrow lanes are filthy and still you can't reach the dingy hotel. Have to walk for 150 meters to the horriblable building. It was nauseating. Went back without staying there and had to pay the Autorickshaw for return fare. The Hotel must be Blacklisted by all the Booking sites.
