One of the few houseboats with central heating and excellent cleanliness. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We booked the suite room for 21k which got us dinner and breakfast as part of the stay. Highly recommended for the winter season.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful, eco-friendly houseboat tucked away in a quiet corner of Dal Lake with stunning views of the hills. The interiors were elegant and felt like a royal Kashmiri retreat, with intricate woodwork and a peaceful atmosphere throughout. As two female travelers, we felt completely safe and well taken care of. The hospitality was outstanding—Faizan ensured everything ran smoothly, and Waseem and his team served delicious meals with warmth. Jarir and Rashid were also incredibly helpful. What impressed us most was the houseboat’s strong commitment to sustainability: no plastic, no disposables, and all amenities provided responsibly. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene and responsible stay in Srinagar—we’d love to return!

The staff were very responsive right from pick up to the houseboat to drop. We were late to check-in to the houseboat but reached just in time for the hi-tea which was a wonderful experience with Kashmiri music (live performance) by the way. Food was good and houseboat was well maintained. Staff was extremely polite and kudos to their hospitality. Will definitely recommend to friends and acquaintances to chose "Sukoon".

At first I was hesitant to pay the price that they are charging compared to other but when they sent a speed boat to receive us and I walked in all I said was “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!” simply amazing experience. The WAZWAAN DISH is a must try. The evening tea with Kashmiri music is a beautiful experience. The Shikara after the tea and before dinner is also highly recommended. Will definitely come back to the same place and pay the price. I genuinely miss this house boat. The bathrooms were better and cleaner than many 5 star hotels I have stayed at. The herbal water in the room was great. Saffron chicken soup is also a must try. (If you are vegetarian dont worry they make great vegetarian food as well). HIGHLY RECOMMEND and a must visit for Kashmir. The location of this boat is in the center of the lake. Simply perfect to enjoy sunrise and sunset.
