Our stay at Yakha Retreat Kalimpong was excellent. It was one-night stay. We wish our stay could have been longer. When you enter the hotel you will be enthralled with the beauty and design. Orchids beside the entrance staircase are awesome. Rooms are very cosy and elegant. Wooden panelling inside the rooms are awesome. Bathroom is good. However, a little more beautification could have been cherry on the cake. In the morning we had a good view of Kanchenjungha. It was a little obstructed in the right side because of construction of a new building. The staff are very caring and courteous. We ate in the restaurant. Food is very good. In the evening they invited us to join the bonfire. That was really great.

No landline working, not enough staff. Hardly 2 or 3 staff. Breakfast is not proper. Only 2-3 items they give. Very disappointed

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel.The view of kanchanjanga is mesmerizing from the hotel.The rooms are very big in size, neat and clean. The resturant us simple but homely. The staff are very humble and eager to help. The food is tasty especially the Indian cuisine, Chinese I was not very happy but won't say that it was too bad.I had a special request from them regarding arranging a cake for my son's birthday they went out of the way and got me a cake for which I was very grateful. Overall i enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

Not a very pleasant stay at all. No wonder in terms of looks from outside it is in a very good locale and beautifully structured outside. But, as you enter everything changes. Firstly, two dogs are always set loose because of which, those who are afraid of dogs, cannot come outside and enjoy the view freely. My brother could not for example. Moreover, they enter into the restaurant any time which is a big NO from the point of view of hygiene. Secondly, there is no in-house chef and because of that if you order something, it will come will be delivered to you after 1-2 hours. Variety of dishes are miserably less considering the name of the resort. The windows of the room in which I stayed did not properly close and as a result in the night, different kinds of insects and moths entered inside the room and did not let us sleep peacefully. At the break of the dawn, water problem arises and also the washroom door does not close properly. However, amidst all these, one thing was satisfying, and that was the behavior and service of the staff. They were very friendly and tried to keep up to our requests quite well. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a very comfortable stay.
