Meenakshi Inn

I had a wonderful stay at Meenakshi Inn, Udupi. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and ideal for families. The room and bathroom were spotless and well maintained, which made our stay very pleasant. The reception staff were extremely helpful, polite, and always ready to assist with any queries. The location is another major advantage—it's very close to the Shree Krishna Temple and within walking distance of several good restaurants, making it very convenient for both sightseeing and dining. Overall, I highly recommend Meenakshi Inn for anyone visiting Udupi, especially families looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay.

Hotel Meenakshi Inn is well furnished and centrally located. The staff is also helpful. The rooms are small. But that didn’t hurt given it’s furnishings and cleanliness.

We booked this hotel based on a good experience three years ago, but unfortunately, the standards have fallen drastically. The stay was uncomfortable from the start. The bed, advertised as 'King Size,' was definitely smaller. Maintenance is a major issue—the bathroom mirror light was broken (I actually had to shave using my mobile flashlight), the water pressure at sink tap and faucet was weak with a leaky faucet, and one early morning we had absolutely no hot water. We also faced constant drilling and banging noises, making it hard to relax. Most concerning was the hygiene and inventory. There were no dental kits; when we asked, we were told stock hadn’t arrived. One of the staff member eventually brought us a used tube of toothpaste because shops were closed. To top it off, the room is not kid-friendly at all; the furniture has very sharp, dangerous edges. The only saving grace was the ground staff—they were courteous and tried their best to help despite the lack of resources. Management, you really need to step up and fix these basic maintenance and inventory issues if you want to compete.

Clean rooms.. quick service. Good vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor. Close to the bus stand and Srikrishna temple.

Clean!!! Great place to stay when visiting Udupi. Restaurant is also great!
