I have to start by stating that Hotel Mourya Residency was very good value for money considering it was down as a 3 star hotel. It's location was right beside the Thane railway (train) station, and close to the local auto-rickshaw and bus stands. The cleanliness, I would put down a little to a 3 star rating as there were some elements where the room wasn't cleaned to a satisfactory standard to what a foreigner would expect to have in a hotel. However, having said this, the hotel cleaning staff did provide an extensive deep clean service when required. One thing that stood out when we initially arrived at the hotel which I found peculiar and bizarre was that the hotel wanted a residential address for us during our stay. I have never had to provide my address during any foreign (international) or domestic trips ever, and this got us and the staff on the wrong foot as I was not happy to provide the address. It just didn't make sense to do so, given the millions of domestic and international travellers across the world. The staff were exceptional during the rest of the stay after we agreed not to have to provide our address to the hotel as we were tourists. A shout out goes to the waiter who provided us with our morning breakfast. The facilities were close to what would be expected of a 3 star hotel. A towel, soap, bottles of water, a mini-fridge for use in one of the rooms, a room key for opening the door and then being able to use the card to provide electricity to the room, toilet roll, a working shower and the facility of a bucket for an alternative type of bathing, and toilet paper was all provided. I would rate the facilities as 3 star, as only a single bath towel was provided with no hand towels, so extra bath towels had to be requested as the hotel didn't have any hand towels. Additional soap, toilet paper had to be requested when required - note: the cleaning staff did not replace any finished rolls of toilet paper and these had to be requested. There was no other toiletries provided as would be expected in a hotel such as a dental kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.), shampoo/ conditioner, hair net, eye mask, etc. To combat the dental kit not being provided, the hotel staff brought a manual toothbrush with a small tube of toothpaste. Overall, I would give Hotel Mourya Residency as between a 3.5 and 4 star rating. Maybe edging closer to 3.5 due to the initial disagreement about the address, and not having toiletries provided as expected of a hotel or toiletries replaced without having to request them.

Worst experience and staff misbehave.. kindly look for other hotel. Staff members may affect ur stay and can use slangs on u.. BE AWARE!
