Nice experience, close to nature

A very peaceful & beautiful place to spend a weekend. Delux room with bathtub and jaguzzi, hot shower was good. Very cooperative & helpful staff members. Good food with special icecream options, We enjoyed tasty masala chai. Overall a good place to relax between forest.

It was our last minute family outing plan for a night just before last day of the year. The property is absolutely a fantastic one, remote-private kind of location, thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time, entire staff reception, restaurant, all very nice and kind, prompt to serve best . Property is beautifully managed and decorated, food was tasty, less oily, recipe made with great care under close management supervision. The best part, just backside of the property, next day morning, we had a great experience of their home strawberry farming-picking. Overall it was a great homely staying experience. Thanks.

I booked this place from Agoda and on visiting we realised that the pictures are deceiving. I had a terrible experience at this place. My money, time and holidays were wasted which is still a nightmare for me. We travelled from Pune to this place which took more than 6 hours considering traffic and literally no roads leading to the place. The place is very far far away from the main sights of Mahabaleshwar and it is in a no-network zone. When we entered we were asked to the full amount the moment we reached the destination even though we suggested that we view the rooms and then make the payment. When we entered the allocated rooms, there was a very weird smell in all the rooms as if no one stayed in these rooms for a long time and there was an immediate irritation, furthermore the room was dirty and the linen had stains all over and it was visible that they were never being changed. Personally I don't think that anybody will ever dare to touch the bed or anything else after entering the room. To our surprise the room which was allocated was also not the one which we booked. We went back to the reception and they insisted on seeing all the rooms but all the rooms had the same weird smell and dirty linens and the same story. I asked for a refund for the 2 days of payment which was made as we decided to leave the place in 20 mins and they refused. But we knew if we stayed here for more than an hour we would fall sick because the place was extremely unhygienic. We decided to have something and leave as we were highly irritated and hungry. We sat for lunch and noticed that the cutlery was extremely dirty and you would not dare to risk the food also. The plates in which the food was served was not clean the glasses had stains and we requested them to serve us the food in a disposable cutlery. The food itself has literally no taste in them and was again a waste of time and money. This place claims to be pet friendly on all the travel websites, but we noticed that the dogs were placed in the dirty cage and they were upset and sad and also the ducks were extremely unhygienic. The place is not at all what they show and will surely give you a horrible experience if you trust their pictures. I personally feel that the good reviews are all paid reviews or the owners reviews and the negative ones are from the people who visited the place. Trust the Google reviews and the ones which are negative ones as they are providing the correct review to the place. This Resort is secluded which added to the serenity and ambience. The weather was wonderful. The meals were good. The staff very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Rooms could be improved and refurbished. There should be at least a fridge in every room.
