Nimmu House is a traditional Ladakhi house built more than 100 years ago offering rooms within this heritage building as well as tent accommodation in the orchard surrounding the house. We stayed in the tent for two nights. It rained both nights but apart from a small leak on one of the sides, which was promptly fixed by the staff, the rain only made our stay more pleasant. The staff was really attentive- Indrani, Sonam and Soham-all were a wealth of information and great to chat with. A walk around the village is highly recommended. Use the bicycles available if you are comfortable riding bike’s with 21 gears. Eating too many apricots without the kernel inside will lead to an upset stomach, we learned the hard way, so limit your intake of the delicious right-off-the-tree treats all around you 😃

Our stay at Nimmu house was simply delightful. This charming 100-year-old Ladakhi home is nestled amidst beautiful landscapes, and the attention to detail is evident in every nook and corner. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a lovely handwritten note and the adorable company of two dogs, Slow and Zero, which added to the already charming atmosphere. The staff at Nimmu house are incredibly warm and welcoming, with Vikram and Indrani being exceptional hosts who made us feel right at home. The property boasts ample seating spaces, including hammocks, where we could relax and take in the picturesque views of the snow-capped mountains and lush greenery. Shuba, the hands-on manager, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, arranging a campfire and outdoor breakfasts. Our room at here was only cozy but also very comfortable, with all the latest amenities to cater to our needs. We were impressed by the thoughtful gesture of hot water bags being placed in our beds each night to keep us warm during the cold nights. Although they have well-equipped tents, unfortunately, they were not operational during our stay. Nonetheless, we could see the attention to detail and the level of comfort provided in the tents, which left us excited about a future stay in one of them. Overall, our experience at Nimmu house was nothing short of amazing, from the exceptional hospitality to the comfortable accommodations and stunning surroundings. It's a perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and indulge in a romantic getaway.

This is so much more than just a hotel, it’s a beautiful experience of a historical house and you’re so well taken care of. Great food, beautiful gardens. Every little attention to detail is outstanding.

Les hôtes sont très sympas mais l'emplacement juste à coté d'une base militaire avec du bruit assourdissant des hélicoptères tôt le matin et parfois toute la matinée est très gênant. En plus il y a aucune connexion internet sauf sur une partie de la terrasse et cela est très peu pratique ! Le rapport qualité prix est décevant.
