Super location. Evening sunsets are a treat to watch through the dense trees around the property. Garden area is a very nice touch for relaxation. Food is great. But the best part is an attentive, caring staff. Special mention for Sachin, Rahul. Some things to keep in perspective: 1. While it is close to the main market, last 100m requires a steep climb - good thing is that they have an on-premise driver who is proficient and helps with traveling both sides for this last 100m. 2. We had taken the basic room - it was quite small and since one of the windows faced the property entry, every time somebody was there at entrance, one felt like they are inside the room itself.

Must visit in lifetime
This heritage property falls in category of NOT TO BE MISSED!! so beautiful and maintained and u experience the british era in every bit of property!!! Food was cooked freshly every day for us and served with warmth that u don’t feel that u r away from home!! Breathtaking view from all the rooms as its on top of the mountain!! Don’t have words to describe its majesty and beauty!!

Character amid the trees
This is a 100yo character property - well maintained but not over-renovated. It has slightly faded charm but is comfortable and clean. It was winter, and we stayed only one night. Our room was spacious (upgraded, apparently) with a good, clean ensuite, toiletries provided. There were a few communal sitting areas including a lovely small enclosed area upstairs with a view through the trees to the mountains. We ate at the hotel and enjoyed the good - decent hotel fare. The service was friendly and attentive. There were board games for long, cold evenings. And you can sit outside and have drinks and enjoy a fire - we didn't opt for this as it was a bit chilly. A good stay.
