I recently stayed at Jaz Little Venice Golf Resort, and while it had its good moments, a few major red flags left a really bad taste in my mouth—literally. To start with the positives, the room was surprisingly spacious and very clean, so credit to the housekeeping team for doing a great job. The beach area was kept clean as well, though you should definitely keep in mind the classic Ain Sokhna tide issue—when low tide hits here, it’s extremely noticeable and you can forget about going for a decent swim. The biggest disaster was the food. Overall quality was pretty mediocre, but breakfast on my checkout day was completely unacceptable. First, I found live worms inside the tomatoes at the buffet. Then, as I was cutting into a donut, I actually found pieces of cloth/fabric threads baked right inside it! It was absolutely disgusting. When I brought this to the attention of the buffet manager, I just got a casual "sorry about that" and that was it. No real care or concern for such a huge health hazard. On top of that, their policy during dinner feels like a cheap cash grab. Dinner was included in my room booking, yet they still charge you 60 EGP for a simple bottle of drinking water—and any other beverage is extra too. Paying for plain water at a dinner you already paid for just feels ridiculous. Overall, great rooms don't make up for worms in the food and indifferent management. I definitely won't be coming back unless they seriously pull their act together in the kitchen.

This was my second visit to Jaz El Sokhna Resort, and unfortunately, it was a massive disappointment. The experience was much worse than my first visit, and the service has clearly deteriorated. Check-in / Check-out: We arrived around 12:00 PM and our room was ready within 15 minutes, which was good. At check-in, we were explicitly promised a 2:00 PM check-out. We were staying midweek and the hotel was not fully booked, yet at 12:30 PM we were literally woken up and asked to leave. The staff had no record of the agreement in the system. This is extremely poor communication and organization for a 5-star hotel. Breakfast: The breakfast service was a complete mess. Every time we asked about a missing station, we were told, “10 minutes and it will be ready,” but nothing was actually ready. We waited around 15 minutes for the crepe station; the crepe was undercooked, had very little diluted Nutella and only a few banana slices. The waffle station was still not ready when we left, and even the taameya (falafel) was not prepared by the time we finished breakfast. At a professional hotel, if something is delayed, staff should offer to prepare it and bring it to the guest’s table instead of leaving guests waiting and asking repeatedly. I was honestly barely holding myself back from an argument. Pest Control: Mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches were noticeable around the pool, sun loungers and balcony vegetation. This level of pest control is unacceptable for a 5-star resort. Pool: Guests were allowed to enter the pool wearing regular T-shirts and clothes instead of proper swimwear, with no intervention from pool staff. Entertainment: There is practically nothing to do at night. No proper cafés or entertainment areas, only a shisha corner on the reception rooftop. Very boring after dinner. Corporate Groups & Value: The resort feels like it is being run mainly for corporate groups paying heavily discounted rates—sometimes around 25% of the publicly advertised price. When the hotel is crowded with these groups, the pool becomes overcrowded and the overall experience drops significantly. For guests booking directly through the hotel or its website and paying the full price, this is extremely frustrating. You pay 5-star prices but can end up receiving a level of service that does not feel 5-star. As a second-time guest, I am genuinely disappointed that this visit was considerably worse than my first. The resort has the potential to be good, but the current service and management do not justify the 5-star price.

Not very far from Cairo. It takes 90 min by car. The beach is nice and sandy. Water is shallow sometimes. So don't expect that you will be swimming in deep water even if you are close to the wooden pier. There no corals or fish around so don't expect a snorkling experience unless you take a boat and go to other locations. The rooms are spacious and clean. The swimming pool is clean. AC working well. They send you buggies to take you to beach or pool. The buffet is good. Plenty of good authentic Egyptian food. Very delcious. Pastries are not that good. They need a lot of improvement. Croissants and similar pastries need some work. It was a good experience though a little on the expensive side.
