Ideal place for a short quiet break
Metung is a small but very peaceful and quiet town. It is such a wonderful location for a short retreat. Moorings is locating in a prime site very close to the water on either side. Eating places at metung hotel, bakery shop and cafe are all within arms length. The boardwalk is nice and easy. Feel like walking on water. Such a lovely place for a short break.

Great Stay with stunning views
The location was perfect, offering beautiful views. The lake is just 5mins walk. Plenty of cafe’s around and the Metung Hotel restaurant which is also 3-5mins walk offers perfect rib eye steak and seafood stir fry noodles. Staff were friendly and helpful. Daily they will provide new towels and room cleaning. Only if they will consider putting a microwave in the room it will be terrific. Also Lake entrance is just 30mins drive and Metung Hot springs is about 7mins. Overall, excellent value for money.

Perfect stay!
I loved The Moorings. It’s beautiful & in the perfect location. In the heart of town with lovely views. My room was comfortable and cosy. I had everything I needed and more. The Queen bed was dreamlike and bathroom accessories were lovely. A touch of luxury. I didn’t get to swim in the pool but it looked great too :) Thank you Jim !
