Murrumbateman Country Inn

What a great place to stay. Very locals atmosphere, fantastic food and really nice rooms.

We travelled to Murrumbateman for the first time from Sydney and it was an amazing Pub/hotel in a rural township. The room was renovated recently and all the facilities were really good value for money. The aircon was cool and the big smart TV along with the wifi all worked well. The bed was comfortable and we stayed in Room 1 on the end and it was very quiet all throughout the night till early morning. The Bar/Restaurant was just as good with a busy night and dinner was still delivered within 30 minutes and the steaks were delicious. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

This is the second time we have stayed overnight in three months and we really love the nice cosy feel of the property. The rooms are spacious with a big comfortable bed and large smart tv and the bathroom is also good with big shower and water flow is nice for a warm shower. We arrived late on a Thursday so missed the pub dinner this time. The location is close to the service station and Friendly Grocery plus walking distance to the cafe along the side road which we had breakfast the following morning. The staff are very welcoming and we would recommend this hotel for short or even a few nights stay as it is close to Canberra and Yass and we were on our way to the Victorian border the following day so a perfect place to stop from Sydney.

This is the third time we have stayed at this location and again it was a very comfortable and enjoyable time we had. We stayed in room 10 this time which is down in the corner and it was very quiet throughout the night into the early morning. The big bed was comfortable and the heating via the air conditioner worked well as it was around 3-5 degrees when we woke up around 6am and it kept the room nice and warm. The bathroom with full shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water for a warm shower. The Smart tv and wifi worked well with fast internet for YouTube on the tv itself and had all the free to air channels you need. Overall the room is spacious and parking right out the front for free. We would definitely recommend this country inn as an alternative to staying in Canberra itself as it is in a nice little country town and the facilities are really good and clean. The bar/restaurant attached is really good for a pub meal at night and a cool beverage and they have a sports bar showing all the live footy. We will be back for sure and the staff were all friendly and accommodating.
