Not to bad for a budget hotel

1.Prepaid booking for accom. 9 May 24 made through AGODA not honoured. 2. Hotel/Motel was entirely unsatisfactory. We were highly concerned that there was no-one available on-site. We had called AGODA Finley on 1 May, wanting to cancel/or change to an ensuite room and were told by the woman we should continue the booking and upgrade on arrival on 9 May(our assumption was that would be done with a receptionist in the Motel Office at Finley). 3. No person in the Hotel/Motel premises on arrival at 3.35pm. 4. The entire building was empty/unattended. The building/s dilapidated/poorly maintained/"seedy". Only code locks on all doors, everything closed up, only a telephone number to contact. There were no other travellers. 5. We phoned number on advertising hoarding 0411585200 to seek clarification/assistance, talked to the same person as on May 1. We stated we were unhappy with the place and did not wish to stay. We were told by the woman that we would not be charged for the room (even though we knew accom. money has already been taken from our account). We were curtly directed to go to the Country Club Hotel/Motel next door where we could have a room there instead. We were not provided with a door lock code. The Country Club receptionist said the two businesses were unrelated and no accom. was available there. 6. We attempted to call AGODA Finley Hotel/Motel again at 4.03pm/4.05/4.19pm and discuss the issue. No response, left two messages to call us back. No return call that afternoon/evening/next day/still. 7. We subsequently checked in to another motel (Finley Palm Motel) for the night with a real person in the office to assist us. This was the standard we had expected at Albion Hotel/Motel and did not receive. 8. We have been deceived because the property/accom was not represented on-line accurately, especially because it was unattended/poorly maintained; we were unable to stay in the premises because the door code was not provided and they did not return our calls; we have lost the money pre-paid to AGODA; the place felt unsafe because there was no one available on-site.

Save you're money on this one, the country club next door is much cleaner and facilities are much better for the same price. This was dusty, the fridge was noisy, the microwave looked like it was from the 80s, beds old and springy and taps leaky.
