Comfortable and very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The meal in the restaurant was first class as good as you’d get in any major city

I am traveling on my own and was a bit freaked out about staying at Halls Creek- My car was surrounded by work trucks so no way anyone could steal it and my room was in the single workers section and so I felt very safe as that was my main concern- Room was clean and tidy- aircon worked a treat and so did the tv- I was rapt

The folowing need to be addressed 1.Housekeeping and restuarant staff excellent however new Management a concern 2.Tables and chairs removed from BBQ area-Why? 3.Noise from cistern reported to management-No Response .Housekeeping finally reported matter to handy man who immediately suggested remedy 4.Channel 7 unavailable -Manager advised that in W.A. channel 7 not free to air therefore guests need to subscribe and pay -Unbelievable considering channel 7 available throughout Australia free to air 5.Rooms serviced daily-Not advised at check -in that signage needs to be displayed outside door otherwise no service provided 6.Refrigerator appears to not to have been defrosted for an eternity thus access to top halve denied 7.Food -Specials no longer available and main course meals come in exceptionally large portions eg steaks 300gm.Local hotel provides specials eg steak night for $27 and meals of 200-300gm portions 8.Website -Reported that access to website via internet advertised as halls creek motel website and directions not available as it advises site under maintenance -Manager not concerned as access via many other means eg *** available 9.As is the case with most accommodation available throughout the Kimberley rooms are terribly small and access to room safe and ironing boards etc is difficult

Arrived during office hours, but office closed. Rang and manager came. He advised the restaurant we have always attended onsite was no longer open and only used for special functions. He had just come from the restaurant and it seems bus tours are “special functions” sorry we pay more for our room than people on a bus tours and would expect that customers should be able to eat there like those customers. Just because you’ve had trouble with the locals shouldn’t affect your customers who drive long distances. The people on bus tours are being driven, people driving themselves would appreciate not having to go looking for food. We were given a room at the very back of the building. Unusually we arrived early looking forward to an unusual early bedtime due to a long day next day. Loud talking and chopping wood right beside our bedroom wall started at 4.30. Then the communal get together of drinking and swearing and loud laughter continued on till 10. My partner approached the group at 8 and the “Manager” advised they’d be ringing up soon. Didn’t happen. I went to go to the car to find men urinating on the fence. Just before they packed up something large was thrown at our wall, making me jump in bed and my partner in the loo. Next morning big dent in the wall. Don’t expect safety here, the smoke alarm has been removed and only the base plate is attached. We’ve stayed here on other trips through the town, when the previous owner was there. On those occasions great hospitality, respectful, and great food…..NO LONGER. Stay somewhere else oh unless your on a bus tour they might treat you better.

There is an option of accomodation walking distance from the airport if this is of relevance to your travels. Otherwise this accomodation was fine, basic but did the job.
