Freedom Shores Resort Airlie Beach

Excellent facility, overlooking the sea with great views. The "Boat houses" are very cute if a little cramped, a big shout out to the staff especially Heidi who was very helpful and courteous, nice pool. The only issue is it is a little removed from the main drag of Airlie beach which means relying on the shuttle or ubers/taxis. On the other hand it is extremely peaceful in it's seclusion.Perfect if you have your own car. Northerlies is the only restaurant within walking distance so limited in terms of eating out. same in terms of supermarket access. Overall we found it to be a very pleasant property.

We had a lovely one night stay. Lovely staff on check in and out, they accommodated my late check out when my husband’s morning meeting took a little later than expected. Mini bar in room, comfy bed and the mini muffins at the breakfast bar were the best!!

We were welcomed with a smile and friendly reception staff. The room was spotless and we loved how quiet it was. Definitely recommend!!

The view was beautiful. Quiet because it's far from. Main beach. Bring your cutlery and binoculars. We loved this place.

Beautiful little boat cabin set in a secluded part of Airlie. Staff very friendly & helpful. Our only warning would be to make sure there is no wedding/function being held in the private boat shed below as we tried to get an early night before a travel day but had to put up with DJ music playing for a private wedding being held below on a Thursday night! We didn’t want to complain as people deserve to enjoy a wedding and we didn’t pay full price for the night. We just wished we knew about the event and its impact on the serenity before booking. Would have loved a smart tv in the room, these are coming apparently. Would be a great place for an entire wedding party to hire out. Future guests need to be made aware of events being held to avoid being caught out like us.
