The Globe Hotel, Rylstone

Rooms were very dated and not as pictured, there was no mention that facilities were all shared. Hard to sleep when you can hear everything. Not a place I would recommend staying

Place is dirty. Bed bugs everywhere. I couldn’t sleep and needed to leave this place ASAP

We were in the family room and couldn't get the heater to work (combined air con/heater). First I had to ask for new batteries for the controller, got given some used ones from another remote control. Couldn't work out how to operate it so staff downstairs gave suggestions. Got it to work on lowest setting only which didn't warm the room up. No duvet on bed just 2 blankets. We put the towels on top too and slept with jumpers, coats and trousers on but were still cold, so had a terrible night's sleep. On the good side, the room was spacious although spartan, it wasn't noisy, the pillows were nice and the bathroom facilities clean. Breakfast was a help yourself job with all the basics in little sachets.

Nice place in a beautiful old country town. Try the Mexican just across the street.

Chair put in shower would be handy for the old.
