Bangalow Guesthouse

This is a very special and historic building and grounds. The interior is beautiful. The rooms are presented high end. Would stay again in a heartbeat. The only criticism is the outside seating area was a bit dirty.

I was tempted to give this place a bad revue so that I could have it all to myself ! I have always steared clear of Guest houses, i tried them out years ago and after a few odd experiences dealing with weird and sometimes nasty owners I could see that Faulty Towers had a rich vein of material to tap into for their comedy series. So I promised myself I wouldn't ever do one again. But on a road trip last summer we found Byron was booked out, and after one night in a terrible hotel in Ballina we checked out, franticaly searching, in desperation we headed for this guest house in Bangalow. On arrival we couldn't belive how beautiful this building was, the grounds, the gardens, the exterior, the interior, immaculately clean and maintained. Incredible artworks, beautifully decorated the living room with lovely comfortable furniture. The massive kitchen had absolutely everything to make anything you want. Everywhere you look there is an outside balcony / verandah area to sit for privacy, sun or shade. The grand building is old but so tastefully renovated, the rooms are gorgeous, and come with a private ensuite. So no sharing like other Guest houses and no Owners In your face, acting weird, or bossy or just whispering to each other like they are planning their next killing! the venue is managed remotely Only a short drive to the beaches of Byron, and Bangalow has great shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, from here the amazing Doma restaurant in Federal is also just a short drive. fmFor a couple, wanting a relaxed getaway, or a group of friends and family to book out the whole venue you will struggle to find anything better in the region. it's just beautiful!
