Riverstone Lodge

We stayed in the riverstone lodge for our Tongariro crossing weekend and it was perfect. We were accommodated with clear instructions for a late check in and the room was clean and comfortable. Was a perfect location to get up and go early in the morning for our hike

Excellent small backpackers, really good friendly host, Sandra, nice facilities and very relaxed good atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

这个旅馆位置很好，不远就有汉堡王、新世界大型超市。厨房有各种调味料。房间干净卫生，连毯子也是逐客更换的。房东***人也很好，她还养了一条可爱的斑点狗。 来这里参加汤加里罗穿越路线完美不过了。本来定的由于天气取消了，续了一晚成功穿越。 我在这里的几天很舒服，这里的天气也很好不像welltington大风。真应该在这里多呆几天。

I had a great stay at Riverstone Lodge. It is within walking distance of the Intercity bus stop, supermarket and river walk. Sandra is extremely kind and helpful. She let me checkout at 11.00am, instead of 10.00am. I also forgot my key and she was back within 2 minutes to let me into my room! Thank you! The kitchen had good facilities - oven, hobs, pots, pans, cutlery. It is very clean, as are the bathrooms. My single room had a comfy bed and nice linen . It is a noisy room due to its proximity to the showers etc and the wall to the next room is thin. The WiFi is weak in that room and kept disconnecting, either due to its distance from the router or because too many people logged on at the same time and the router couldn't cope. A booster of some sort might be needed? However, the WiFi issue did not spoil my stay and I highly recommend this accommodation.
