I would recommend this inn, and, I would book again.

Great stay and great hospitality with great breakfast and a welcome glass of wine upon arrival.

This historic, turn-of-the-century family home of the founder of a major American bank is tastefully restored for its current use as a bed and breakfast. My room was more than ample in space, even accounting from generous furnishings, including an extremely cozy king size bed and various throughtful creature comforts that I didn't need personally, but appreciated. I enjoyed waking up to the view of the sunrise over downtown Winston Salem from my bed through large windows. The ground floor also features ample space for guests to enjoy a complimentary freshly prepared breakfast in the morning and to lounge in throughout the day, furnished with antique art, furniture and fixtures in excellent condition, games and game tables. The live-in innkeeper and staff are friendly and knowledgeable of local culture and history; in their service delivery, they exemplify Southern hospitality by being easy to contact if needed, by having you feel at home from the moment you walk in, and by making your stay as pleasant as possible. The heart of the town, with it delectable food scene and an identity centered on the arts, is only about ten minutes walking from the inn.
