I go here almost every weekend after working for VDOT all week as a Certified Flagger. I travel every day for work so I only get a hotel room on the weekends. Last stay someone above me kept jumping & stomping until 3 am & I was bitten by a bedbug in Room 106 & so was my 27 year old autistic son. I called to tell them and I was told they’d be accommodating me with a better room next time. Instead I came here they offer me a sub par room in which the comforters & pillows smell like urine. They got irate the next morning yelling at my 23 year old who suffers from a traumatic brain injury about our dog being in the room. Hollering for 40 dollars for a pet fee. I went to clean up my truck to accommodate my pet because I couldn’t afford it and he has a huge bed in my truck, water & food as he travels with me daily to work. They refused to let me stay even though I booked a third night, threatened to call the police on me for allowing my dog to sleep inside my truck even though it’s not hot, summertime and he has everything he needs available for him including toys, blanket, bed, water and food. They canceled our reservation and said we would have to check out. It’s all about money and the fact that we use Agoda to make our reservation and they aren’t getting the full amount for the room is why they are pressing us about a pet fee. But I will go right down the street and give the Days Inn my business since my pet stays free anyway! I don’t need the harassment towards me or my disabled adult children. I’m not going to put up with threats from their staff about my pet because he’s well cared for. They could have overlooked the pet fee considering the situation and terrible experience we dealt with the week before.

Cycling across the country we needed a hot shower a room big enough to store both bikes and something to eat. When we were told that there was a jacuzzi in the room we were ecstatic, shame it didn’t work! Apart from that it was spotlessly clean and food and drink wasn’t far away. No breakfast was a shame but hey ho, it happens move on. Slept really well there too.
