I wish I had read the reviews before booking.

I booked this hotel to spend night with my two young kids to use pool to practice their swimming skills from swim classes this summer. We were in brainerd and decided to have a night away to go to zoo, explore and get some swimming in. I saw sign the hot tub was down, I was disappointed but got over it. When we went into pool area there were the chairs actually in the pool, like someone was rough housing. The front desk lady was calm and felt bad. She tried to get them out, but I got in the pool and helped so she didn’t have to get all wet. It was then I was told the heater went out in pool and it was like ice! I was hoping to swim and it was way too cold. My older daughter sucked it up by my youngest didn’t want anything to do with it. I wish there was a way to inform us when booking that it wasn’t working properly or even told when we checked in. It really put a damper on our night. The employees were great and room seemed clean enough, I just was really bummed about pool.

Only stay here as a last resort. Our room smelled musty, the bathroom was quite gross with hairs still present, I checked for bedbugs but was not convinced they were not present as I had itching all night.

The best part was the rates, I wasn't happy about them holding $100 for each night we stayed as a security deposit. I've never stayed at a hotel that charges a security fee up front, usually they just hold your card info to charge you after you check out if there was any issues. We booked online through kayak/AGODA, next time I'll read reviews from multiple sites. The hot tub was more like a luke warm pool, the pool was ice cold. Apparently the hot tub issue has been going on for many months from what I've read on other reviews so I wouldn't expect it to be repaired any time soon. The rooms weren't bad. They must have hired a painter that wasn't professional, painters tape was left in various areas. There's either soap account or mold on the bar in the shower and the faucet when turned on had rust particles out some kind of debris come out. The bathroom floor has some dirt or dust. The beds weren't terrible but not great either, every time you move it's noisy. We wouldn't stay again until they fixed things like the hot tub which between the lack of heat and then it's in need of wall repairs, lights need to be fixed, one table was broken so they covered it in a protective film, and replace things in the shower that are gross, until then, we won't be back.

beds aren’t comfortable, pillows suck, rooms aren’t very nice, horrible attempts at repairs in the bathroom are very noticeable. microwave messes with the lights in the room. hot tub was broken upon arrival, was told I would get comped and checked this morning and was refused by another staff. would leave but i wont get a refund. very unhappy with this place.
