머큐어 바로사 밸리

Lovely motel with nice rooms. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and Rest was closed but they did point us in the right direction to find something. We were a little disappointed at the water wastage, took a very long time for hot water to come through, but once it did, it was great. Location is good, short walk into town and if you are into flowers, a very beautiful walk.

Check in was done quickly even though a ground level unit was requested at time of booking due to husbands mobility, however when asked if it was ground floor and the reply was negative, it was quickly fixed and a ground floor room was found and organised for us. Much appreciated and handled pleasantly and quickly

Positives - Most comfy pillows and bed I have ever slept on in a hotel, breakfast was lovely. Negatives - Sun-Mon, no staff after 4pm and the restaurant / bar is closed both nights. Check in via phone call to remote staff only. I would not recommend staying here if you are arriving Sun or Mondays, unless you arrive early to organise meals etc.

Couldn’t get hold of anyone in morning to be able to drop off key No key return box No staff Rang after hours number 3 times before someone answered. Held us up for half hour on departure.

At first we thought the waitress was very good and polite but that changed very quickly when we tried to order a half price gin and tonic just before the end of happy hour to told by her we were too late that happy hour had finished although it was 6.28pm by my wifes mobile phone and 'happy' hour was from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, she then told us we tried to order it at 6.39 and 30 seconds was not true but even so is still before 6.30pm, won't be back poor service ruined an otherwise good stay. Her name can be provided if management is interested
