The room was not only clean, but also the welcome booklet provided offered exceptional information for our short stay. Please make sure you read it as there is some important nuggets of knowledge for your stay there. The bathroom was very clean with all the essentials including complimentary personal care items. The water pressure was beyond awesome, so much so that it's best to set a floor mat before the door and toilet. The bed was comfy enough for our short stay and sheets were clean as well. The pool was exceptionally crystal clear which was a pleasant find after a long drive and we enjoyed drying off in the cane lounge nook. All in all. We had a really pleasant stay at the palms and our only issue while there was the ticking of the fridge compressor. If we had bothered to ask I'm sure the owner would of helped us out.

always stay here when in Ballina

This was our second stay at this motel, as the location is great, right near the River, and not on a highway! The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. There’s a nice kitchen and good bathrooms with plenty of towels, and other things you need. The toilet seat was broken in our room, but when we reported it the next morning, we were told it wasn’t broken, that there was a release button that had probably been pressed by the cleaners. Well, eye for detail should ensure this doesn’t happen! There was also no soap dish in the shower, so where do you put your soap? On the floor it seems. The provided soap was terrible, you couldn’t get a lather up, but luckily there was some bath gel in a small bottle.

A little bit out of town. Hotel is on the Northern entry to Ballina as a result more traffic and trucks than expected. The pool facilities in hotel pictures were run down and not as represented, , but no issues apart from that
