I have been several times to the restaurant and bar area for drinks, dinner, coffee etc. It's lovely and easy. I booked the hotel at the SV Inn, the room is a good size and nice bathrooms, comfortable beds. The hallways had a bad smell like something died and heavy chemical cleaning products. There is no signage on the outside of the building to find the room numbers, no signs of how to get in or where to go. I walked around the building for 5 minutes trying to find an entrance. There were no signs to find the pool, so walked again around trying to get in. A little bit of guidance and better signage would be helpful. There is no mini bar, only water. You feel just a bit isolated there. I would stay again but in the lodge and ask for a cleaner wing.

My wife and I recently visited the Sun Valley Inn for our anniversary. While the physical location has its perks, our overall experience left a lot to be desired, and we definitely will not be returning. The Good: The resort grounds are undeniably beautiful, featuring lush green landscapes, ponds, and streams. Getting around is a breeze thanks to excellent, well-maintained bike trails and an amazing, friendly public transit system that makes popping into Ketchum very easy. The Frustrating: The logistics of our stay were a headache from the start. I drive an F150 Lightning, and the Inn’s universal EV charger was completely broken (which took me an hour of troubleshooting to figure out). I eventually got permission to use a slow charger in the valet area of the neighboring Sun Valley Resort, which took 18 hours to charge my truck. Dining was another major hurdle. The on-site restaurants were constantly booked with incredibly long waits. It was so difficult to get food that we actually found ourselves skipping meals and going hungry rather than fighting for a table. The Room: Sleep quality was arguably the worst part of the trip. The A/C in our room was entirely dysfunctional—adjusting the thermostat down somehow seemed to make the room warmer. It was stifling, and we spent every night tossing and turning without sheets. To make matters worse, our room was located directly next to a stairwell with a heavy door that violently slammed shut every time an early riser or late-nighter passed through. Service on our final morning added insult to injury. Housekeeping knocked just after 8:00 AM, and when I politely declined service, the staff member seemed annoyed and pointedly asked, "You're checking out this morning, right?" Even though checkout wasn’t until 11:00 AM, we felt so rushed and unwelcome that we just packed up and left. The Atmosphere: The overall vibe of the resort caters to a very specific, ultra-wealthy demographic, and to be honest, we felt incredibly out of place. The crowd felt very disconnected from reality, and that tone-deafness seemed to extend to the resort's management as well. While the surrounding natural hillsides are completely dry from a severe drought, the resort waters its grounds 2 to 3 times a day, leaving the grass literally swampy. It felt excessively wasteful and disrespectful to the local environment. If you are a regular, down-to-earth person looking for a relaxing, comfortable getaway where you can get a good night's sleep and a decent meal, I highly recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Great stay -- great location, walking distance to everything ; onsite food choices were all excellent ; doormen have access to a fleet of brand new Ford's and were able to drive us to the Baldy Lodge. Loved our room and great quality linens and towels, plus a nice drawer refrigerator in the room - only complaint is that the smell of chlorine is really strong over by the pool.... too strong, it feels like you're breathing in toxic bleach. Would definitely go back and I highly recommend it!

The airport shuttle was prompt and check-in was easy. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The food was great and I loved having places to walk around the Village and take a break from work. Highly recommend!

Over priced. The floors were squickie in the hallways and in the room. It felt live being in in old building that needs upgrading. They also charge a 10% tax on goods purchased in the resort.
