Vacation Village at Weston

Two bad things about this place: 1) The resort fee. I have stayed at this facility before, both Vacation Village at Bonaventure, and Vacation Village at Weston, and I was never charged a 'resort' fee. This time they disgorged a $75 resort fee out of me. 2) Timeshare presentation. At check-in, they offered me a $100 gift card if I attend a 'breakfast & chat' about the resort. I told the lady at the front desk (the side front desk where you pick-up your parking permit) that if that 'breakfast & chat' session is about a 90-minute timeshare presentation, I want no part of that. She assured me that it is NOT. And to make sure that I go to that activity, she required that I put down a $20 deposit. Well, guess what? Two days later when I went to that 'breakfast & chat' session, it was a 90-minute timeshare presentation. Needless to say that I did not stay for that activity. I also told the presenter that Gigi, the lady at the front desk lied to me in order to come to the session. And I lost my $20 (cash) deposit; I did not ask for a refund of that since 90 minutes of my time were more valuable to me than the $20. I dislike people or businesses that try to nickle & dime their customers; and I hate liars. Other than those two negative points, I liked everything about my stay at VV @ Weston. BTW, the Weston place is much better than the Bonaventure location.
