레지던스 인 바이 메리어트 매디슨 웨스트/미들턴

I really wanted to love this place but there were just a few things that I wish I had known before I picked it. First, the hot tub was out of order with no notice. When I stay with other brands, they usually have a notice on their website if one of the facilities is out of order. So I double-checked the Marriott website and there was nothing. The woman who checked us in was new and said it’s been out of order since she started a week ago, and I also saw that they don’t specifically advertise the hot tub even though there are photos of it online. So maybe they’re phasing it out or something. But it was a big reason we picked this place, so it was for sure a disappointment. Also the pool water was freezing — even though it was supposed to be heated. The other thing was the cleanliness. My kids enjoyed the pool a few times but I only went in once and there was a giant hairball floating in the water, so that was kind of gross. Our room also had a wet spot on the carpet when we checked in and there was hair in the shower and struck to the shower curtain. Some of the dishes in the kitchenette were also kind of dirty. Not awful, but again, not the level I’m used to at other chains. The room configuration was great though, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was typical — although there was no waffle maker. But they did have cold brew coffee, which was a treat. It’s also close to a railroad track, which my husband and son had a blast exploring. He said it was the best hotel ever.

Place had a usable kitchen, was spacious and clean. A lot of car parks available.

Nice, clean and spacious with very good breakfast. However, our room didn’t get clean on their cleaning day though. So we had to feedback a couple of time. Hot water has coffee taste. Otherwise very good.

Very clean, great breakfast and friendly staff.
