타바 모텔 마니투 스프링스

This is a motel, not an hotel. It’s quite convenient to park your car right in front of your door. There is a terribly strong scent of cleaning chemicals in our room and the tile floor feels tacky as thought it isn’t rinsed. Our sink has cracks and brown stains. The bed is very comfortable. The room is spacious.. Lots of counter space in the room and a fairly large mini-fridge. The atV is Panasonic with DirectTV. A nice channel guide is on a plaque and the WiFi is fast. The armchair is old and tattered and the dark colored carpet looks dirty, especially at the edge of the wall. You will have to walk outside to reach the indoor pool and hot tub. Both are good temperature, but the pool room is very stuffy at 86 degrees. Breakfast is bare bones, nothing fresh except the self-serve waffle maker is wonderful. (Difficult to cut with a plastic knife in a styrofoam plate.) Our hair dryer was broken and the kind front desk lady brought us a high powered one right away. The location is on the road to Manatou Springs, but unfortunately not walking distance. There is a Subway sandwich shop and a liquor store across the street. So as you can see, there are positives and negatives. We got a good price, but it was just too basic for my taste.

Went for the Crawford Coffin Race & it's less than a mile walk to the center of town. Short drive to Garden of the Gods & Colo Springs.
