The place is newly refurbished so it was clean, smelled good, the bees were great. I would have recommended it even with the TV remote not working (batteries needed changing). We checked in Friday evening. Saturday we went up to Bishop. I realized we had left our orthopedic pillows in the room so I called and told the owner/manager which he checked and said yes they found them and would keep them for me as I would be coming back thru there on Sunday. (Quick business trip). We did show up on Sunday and was promptly told that the maid threw them in the garbage so we're not there. She offered to give us a room but since we were not staying and had been to Barstow 2 times in 70 years I doubted that would be viable. I was told that when the maid, whom they fired, returned to get her check them they would discuss it with her and get her to pay for the pillows. At that time Amazon had the pillows on sale for $29.99 but only for that day. The regular price was $49.99. All I wanted was one pillow paid for. I would eat the rest...pillow and 2 cases from my set. Almost 2 weeks later, and a multitude of calls, & emails, I finally reached them

The room was nice and clean , our son loved the old cars on their parking lot

Good for a 1 night stay. Room was OK.

Value for money if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay, and the staff at the front desk were very nice - but unfortunately we had to remove three cockroaches from our room before we slept, the bottom of the door frame was partially taped up (presuming because of the cockraoches) there were no lamps so having to have the main light on 24/7 was not relaxing, and there were some stains on the sheets. So it wasn't a pleasant stay, sadly.
