This was such a wonderful find! We needed a last minute overnight place. What a gem! The history in the house has to be amazing. The room was full of character and historical beauty. I wish we lived closer so that we could come back sooner!

The old lady that runs this place with her son or employee or whoever is extremely rude, nosy, and just seems to want to be involved in your entire stay and wants to be in your business while you are there. She looked at my fiancé after my fiancé thanked her for something while I was sitting in the car so she didn’t see me but once my spouse walked away she mean mugged my wife and rudely stared at her and made faces while she walked away. This is a 70 yr old plus woman, I have stayed at old historic hotels before and this lady adds a creepy annoying taste to the hotel, not to mention every time we left our room she’s like right at the bottom of the stairs trying to see what you all are doing. Plus the power went out during our stay and it was extremely hot and just annoying.

Beautiful home with authentic Victorian furnishings. Large rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice breakfast, pretty garden, cozy balcony and welcoming front porch where you can sit peacefully and sip a cup of coffee.

My parents stayed here a year ago and loved this place. They gave me a tour with Kevin the owner. He was happy to show me around to the beautiful parlor dining/breakfast room, lounge area, etc. So when my parents got me a room for my birthday, I was elated. I was turning 55 so I had three adult friends over to do a puzzle with me in the parlor. I was greeted by a member of the family who looked a little alarmed and disoriented when she saw a spring, our puzzle board in, but she shoot us the table where we could set up. There was only one other guest on the registry that night and she hadn’t checked in yet, it turns out she wouldn’t check in until after 11 PM. My friends and I went to get some Thai food and came back to eat in the dining area. We were very quiet and my friends saying happy birthday to me in whispered voices.
