Trolley Stop Motel Philadelphia Media

This hotel is centrally located to several traveller centers like Wawa and Starbucks. While the room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller, it was totally adequate and clean. Mattress is firm. Walls are thin so if there is an occupant next to yours, you will hear everything. Since my room was next to the street, there was some street noise during the night, but not objectionable. Parking is adequate.

The curtains have huge clumps of dust in the folds. I had to immediately ask for 2 lightbulbs. Food residue on the ceiling of the microwave Little to no hot watee in the sink. Towels are very stained. Bedspread and mattress had many burn holes in them. You get 1 chair - a folding chair. Mine was broken and they VERY reluctantly let me use one from an unused room. They would not remove the broken one so I am sure it will be there for the next guest. There is blue paint from the walls dripped on the floor and furniture. The floor of the shower is black with stains. The shower curtain is stained. The heater barely worked. 31 degrees outside and I had to set it to 76 to be comfortable wearing a jacket. You can clearly hear through the walls. The WORST part? The hard wired smoke alarm had been removed and not replaced with anything.

Clean, friendly, convenient

This was the best priced stay near Philadelphia on a Saturday night by a pretty wide margin. I didn't know how to turn on the TV and the staff helped me immediately and it was a good TV. The room was comfortable. Bring a scissors so you can use the shampoo (I didn't care as I am basically bald and just used soap for the one night).
