햄튼 인 포트 웨인/듀폰트 로드

I travel a lot for work and Hampton Inn used to be my go to chain for nicer, higher quality accommodations. In the past few years they became more 'hit and miss', but this experience was the straw that broke the camel's back. From the outside, the building looked nice. Once in the lobby, you could immediately tell this location was in need of an update/refresh. The front desk reception was terse and tepid (no explanation of where the elevators were, breakfast hours, etc.). The elevators were noisy, shaky and slow and the carpeting in the hallways was tired. The room had peeling and discolored paint and the bathroom looked cheap and very 'Motel 6'. The towels and curtains had stains and the room furniture had drawers that wouldn't stay closed. Immediately, the family directly across the hallway from me made it clear their children ran the show. Constant running in the hallways, pounding on doors, screaming, crying, and just general disrespect for other guests. Now, before you label me a curmudgeon, understand that I'm blaming the parents here and not the kids. This went on all night, and culminated with another guest(s) filing a complaint with management and the (kid's father?) finally taking action at 12 a.m. by screaming at the top of his lungs at the kids, while dropping 'F-bombs' and threatening personal harm to them. I fully expected a police response. While I understand that hotels cannot vet all their guests for quality, this was a situation that could/should have been nipped in the bud early. When I left at 6:30 he a.m , there was nobody at the desk to complain to...I really should have requested a refund for this mess, but had to get off to work... As my father used to say, "vote with your feet". I'm doing exactly that in the future, and Hampton Inn's are now a memory.

The one thing we wanted and why we picked this hotel was bc of hot tub by the pool and all 3 days we stayed it wasnt working:(

love this place just wish the cost wasn't so high.

Paid a lot more than i uselly do for a room only bc of hot tub and breakfast is good but this time around breakfast both days was cold and nasty and the only reason why we stayed here was bc of hot tub that we couldn't use bc it was down till the 2 nite than it was to busy to even be able to get in it so i wasted our money for nothing.

Breakfast eas cold and nasty hot tub was out of order :(
