컴포트 인 켈소 - 롱뷰

My husband and I were going to a wedding at the Kelso Elks. This hotel is super close to that. So it worked great for us. Also right off the I-5 Freeway with lots of parking. Every interaction with staff was positive. People were friendly and helpful. A shout out to the maintenance guy who saw me unloading the luggage rack and offered to take it back to the front lobby for me. Our room was super clean. I have stayed in a bunch of hotels recently, and this one was among the cleanest. That is important. The beds were comfy, fridge worked, nice space for luggage. All what I want in a hotel room. The bathroom was on the small side, but everything in it worked. I appreciated a lot of counter space in it too. Only negative was the I-5 noise. I had asked for a "quiet" room, so was a bit surprised to get one on the freeway side of the hotel. Sure enough, there was steady freeway noise. However, the hotel had super good insulation so it was pretty low. My husband declared it sounded like ocean waves and he slept wonderfully. So some people will not be bothered by it at all. For me, it was low, but just enough that I could hear it - so I popped in my ear plugs and also slept wonderfully all night long. That means, I am NOT complaining about the noise at all, just want to let other travelers know that you may want a pair of ear plugs at the ready just in case. One final note, breakfast was good with eggs, potatoes, waffles, toast, and more. Plus coffee and hot water for tea. I was quite pleased with our stay here and would stay again.

Good place

Honestly, the staff was fantastic. The amenities were great. The biggest issue we had was that our bed was a bit firm, so we didn't get the best night sleep, but the rooms are very neat. Another tidbit, if you use the television, you may have to switch the input on the remote to HDMI1 when you turn it on as ours kept reverting to the coaxial cable. Beyond that, it really was great, and there were no complaints.

I stayed at comfort in my own town. Hoping to get a mini-vacation get away for a few nights. There was no working spa for the 5 days and 4 nights we were there and I was not informed about it until I tried using it and asked staff I was bummed That it was broken down so that put a Damper on the whole situation. I then got excited that there was still breakfast buffet in the mornings. But it seemed feeding The staff in the establishment, was more important they shut down everything at 9:30 breakfast started at 9 we had just sat down at 9;10 to eat but we only got a yogurt each because we waited for the staff to move out of the way because we thought they were cleaning around the area, but i believe now it was to keep us from not going up to the counter before the rest of the staff could come and get their food. I believe it was away to keep us away from getting anything to eat that was freshly cooked so they could eat first i watched 4 of them sit down and eat after we got there but me and my kids waiting patiently to get food but they left us with empty stomachs there was nothing left as all the workers. Sat around us eating their food to top it off i thought they had a bathtub so I could soak in a tab, come to find out the tab does not allow soakin only showers But didn't have to worry about that anymore because I couldn't get hot water to shower but one the one time. it was very unprofessional for staff to be setting in lobby's area and watching tv and playing on the laptops and ipads we had to always look for them i don't like the building to ask any questions never at desk and parking was heard to find everytime i had to park in a different parking that was not the hotels overall it was clean but out of all the staff , in five days , I was there , I feel only one was a responsible staff who had a wonderful vibe and greeted us with kindness and friendliness he was the reason we did not just walk out i would hope if I ever stayed again.My experience will be I better one When it comes to staff and working equipmentThat is advertised to be there for your pleasure Ty

The room did smell off and was rather clammy. The shower was great though and I liked there shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was decent. It was a pretty standard hotel breakfast. Had some issues with my booking with agaoda but luckily the lady at the front counter was extremely nice and got it squared away for me. Had an odd night as the fire alarm did go off but luckily it was nothing serious. It's not the worst hotel but I probably will not be staying here again. If you're looking at a semi decent hotel for a decent price this is good though.
