The staff was not impolite, but they seemed indifferent. The "breakfast" consisted of some bags of instant oatmeal, coffee, chocolate muffins; no juice or fruit. No utensils in the room to even make the oatmeal. No ice machine, only two empty ice trays in the refrigerator, much was loud and ran off and on. Room arrangement decent size and appropriately equipped.

The entire hotel was not well kept as far as maintenance and appearances. The hotel claimed they were a smoke-free environment but as soon as you walk through the front doors, everything smelled like smoke masked by Febreeze. Elevators were not clean, the rooms felt dirty with sticky cabinet handles, dirty oil and food splattered kitchen backsplashes that were coming off the wall. Chipped paint on wall surfaces, terrible painting on common area walls in the hallways and elevators. The entire floor once you got off the elevators smelled of smoke. The room itself smelled of smoke the entire stay. I had called ahead and asked if the kitchens were fully equipped with the basics and the person who answered the phone told me they were and listed items they had. They did not tell me that those items were not physically in the kitchens of the rooms and that you had to request the specific items. When I asked the front desk about the smoke, all they could say was that they could only do something if they catch the smoker in the act. So every single person staying in the hotel just smokes? It wasn’t just my room or a few rooms. It would have to be majority of the rooms for the hallways and the elevators to smell of smoke too. Every piece of clothing I brought with me smelled of smoke after 2 days. I will never stay at this establishment ever in the future.

My overall impression of my experience at the hotel based on my acute observations is there was a lot of people that were staying there were under unique financial circumstances which in my opinion is observed by the staff and management alike but are being charged at an exorbitant rate the could easily rival nearby luxury apartments with more access to amenities, I would suggest that the exorbitant rate issue be taking up at the managerial level to remedy that issue and offer the guest a alternative rate per stay policy preferably a “ L O S “ rate would be more economically feasible.

Overall my experience was satisfactory the only thing I could take issue with is stay rate of the hotel charge and the way it differentiates from the third party rate. The rate of the third party shouldn’t be able to rival the hotel cost.

I got in late and tired. Check in was prompt. I got into the room, the floor was sticky and everything smells of cigarette smoke ( a non smoking reservation)
